ANDERSON, S.C.— Koressa Arneson, Center Director of Education and Enrollment at Sylvan Learning Center in Anderson, has been named to the Anderson Chamber’s 20 Under 40 list.
“I’m honored to have been named an Anderson Chamber 20 Under 40,” Arneson said. “I’ve worked hard as Center Director to help the families that come to Sylvan Learning Center in Anderson achieve their goals, and to have that hard work recognized is a wonderful achievement.”
In 2009, Arneson earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Clemson University and began working at several schools in the area. She went on to earn her master’s degree in psychology from Clemson, and took on the role of Center Director at Sylvan Learning Center. For over six years, she has strived to coordinate a personalized solution for each family seeking to help impact their child's academic performance and boost confidence. Koressa knows a confident student is much less stressed and much more motivated to achieve, which helps to relieve the worries of parents.
Joan Russell, the Sylvan Regional Director for Western Carolina, nominated Arneson because of her exceptional work.
“She has helped the center grow exponentially, and is great at finding creative ways to help families find solutions to their children’s academic needs, as well as meet the needs of her community,” Russell said. “Nominating her was an easy decision.”
